I thought that I would post this information as it is beginning to apply to non-MPI turbo Vipers as well.

As many of you may already know, mid last season MPI introduced a air/oil tank separator drain mod where the separator tank drain is relocated to the engine mag cover. This modification has become more popular even on non-MPI boosted Vipers and requires a different ROV valve location.

In some cases the separator drain mod is being performed after the sled already has a ROV installed.

When the separator drain relocation modification has been performed and you are running a ROV, it is important to make sure that your ROV valve is located in the aluminum tubing above the exhaust heat shield for MPI boosted Viper/M7000's. http://fourstrokesolutionsllc.webs.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=15825200

For MCX turbo Viper/M7000's with the drain modification and the air/oil separator tank is in the stock location. The ROV valve is installed on the rear port of the separator tank with the previously attached hose on the valve facing upwards. http://fourstrokesolutionsllc.webs.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=15943062

By relocating the separator drain to the engine, it changes the breather air flow characteristics somewhat. Installing the ROV in the tube that connects to the top of the oil tank and is routed above the exhaust heat shield will allow the oil pump Quick Prime feature to function as designed.
