2013 Nytro XTX 1.75
2011 Nytro XTX 1.25
Last Spring I bought a 2013 Nytro XTX 1.75" and am now just getting around to inspecting the ski carbides. I just purchased 8" inside Bergstom Triple-Points but am unsure if I need to also replace the outside 4" carbides. They seem to be worn more at the front . Also, my Berstrom's came with a small shim and I was hoping someone out there could fill me in as the where that needs to be placed. I called Scott @ Bergstom's but he is out of pocket up north until next week. Thanks in advance.

I just purchased the 8" triple points for new Tuner IIs. Running them on the inside and Bergstrom wear bars (no carbides) on the outside. Suggest you get ski savers to go under your 8" TPs. The shim goes under the rear of stock rubber bumper after you reverse it to move ski pressure backwards. Your solid mount setup is interesting so no shim needed.

So is it ok to use these skis without the rubber stops or should I order some asap?

I would or your skis will be flopping around. If I remember on my Arctic cat I had Simmons Gen 1 skis with the Arctic Cat mounts and used the stock Arctic cat rubber saddles. I noticed on Ebay someone sells Gen 1 and 2 clear rubber saddles. If you have the Yamaha mounts I would think you could use the stock rubber saddles, not 100% sure on that, but maybe someone who has a Gen 1 skis on there Nytro can jump in and set it straight.
good luck

I would see if they were originally equipped with rubber stops and if so purchase them. Below are pics of my Tuner's assembly and you can see the Bergstrom 3/8" ski savers go under the carbides and wear bars and the 3/8" shim gets screwed onto the rubber bumper after you reverse it. This pre-pressures the bumper when you install it so you have to compress the rubber to get the axle bolt in. Now the contact point of the ski on the snow is more correctly aligned with the carbides, minimizing darting, etc. This entire setup is new to me but I will post seat of the pants impression this winter. Comes with great reviews and my brother in law loved the Tuner II's on this sled.
