U.P. trail question

Looking to get from Marquette to Au train. The maps all show trail 321 ending east of Marquette near Harvey. Then there is a considerable gap before trail 417 picks up around Onola. Is there a way thru there that doesn't involve a lot of road riding?

Take 8 to 417. Where are you coming from? If you are on 14 cut back to the west on 321 and pick up 8 at Jarvi/Grimes then head back east on 8 to 417. This is what my map shows. I guess yours as well.

I'm going to be coming up from trail 8 and I want to loop back to Au train along the lake.
