I would like to thank the idiot that stoled the gauntlets (hand warmers) off from my wifes snowmobile in Copper Harbor Friday night. I hope you stayed warm. If you read this i would like them back.

I used to leave a shovel next to the place where we get on and off the lake. I would take the time to shovel in a bunch of snow and make a ramp.

Well some one need my shovel more than me so guess what no shovel no ramp.

I even left a sign asking for the shovel just to see the of the D bag would return it.

Sorry to see that her gloves were stolen. I know that people shouldn,t steal, and sorry if it seems harsh, but why are you folks making it so easy for thieves ? Do you carry spare everything ? I,ve editted my post. Sorry I misread the gaunlets part. That would take more time to steal, and more nerve. I realize now those things cann,t be taken off every time you stop. Again, I hate thieves.

Gauntlets, not Gauntlet Gloves. Gauntlets are attached to the handlebars and left attached during cold riding times. Riding up there on Thursday and Friday was a touch on the cold side if you opened the sleds up on the fast trails.

Was in lakes of the north getting lunch ...and someones helment was stolen ...now that would suck....all my stuff stays with me any place we go ...people use to rip off sleds in my area all the time ....not much anymore state boys up and down that road and trail....

not cool

Not cool at all , I would give the shirt off of my back to help a fellow biler out , also would go without to help the ladies enjoy there ride no matter what it cost.

We also have seen people grab the wrong helmet before , make sure you grab your own , a lot of times you can blame the local thiefs that lurk around at night looking for something to ripoff , not likely to be a fellow biler from out of town that hit you.

Back in the day there was a rash of locals cutting your track in half , wont say were, good luck in the future keep it in your trailer at night

That was one thing that really surprised me. In every hotel parking lot, there were expensive, beautiful 4 and 6 place enclosed trailers with a fleet of late model sleds parked outside overnight.

Is it that hard to load and unload a drive on/off trailer? My guess is they had gas cans and other gear blocking them up. But if it were me, I would be putting that $10K+ investment in the trailer each night. Heck, I did, and didn't have a frosty seat in the morning too!

I'm surprised to hear that this happened in the UP, especially that far north! I guess it just goes to show you that people will steal anything.

That is pure crap. I have never had that happen but would be passed. I always have my trunk bag and handlebar bag full of emergency gear and extra items one may need. I have often thought easy target but never would I have thought of a helmet or gauntlets walking away. If I ever caught someone doing that I would kick his #*$&@.

Get a job and buy your own fricken stuff. There is one thing I can't stand. And its a two bit thief. Guys work hard day in and day out to afford the toys and goodies that go along with them. Just to have some worthless turd stroll by and snap em up faster than the blink of an eye.

that a good idea. Then they take the truck, trailer, sleds all in one shot.always unload your sleds when you get to where you are going. It is faster to take the truck then your sled. Just saying.
