Last year I had a Bender re-action suspension installed. Which is the same as a Monoshock with the reinforcement brackets.
This year I want to add a set of the two bolt idler wheel brackets that just came out on for the 09 RS Venture GT and 2010 monoshock sleds. I want to add my extra set of oem wheels just before the rear ones. Just like when I had with my proaction suspension.
I want to get this order right and I'm wondering what bolts from Yamaha will be long enough to clear the reinforcement brackets? Shown here #20(90105-10150-00) #25(90101-08774-00) on 2010 RS Vector rails with the new brackets #18 (8CM-47419-30-00)
Here is my suspension before it was installed last year.

Oh and the mechanic tried to reuse the proaction two bolt brackets from my original skid but for some reason he said it didn't fit?
This is why I was thinking of buying these new brackets. I don't want to go with one bolt brackets.

I didn't know Yamaha had a 2 bolt mount.
Instead of buying the Dealer's inflated price of $26 for a bracket, buy a Skidoo bracket from Royal Distributing for $6, seen here: http://www.royaldistributing.com/main/i ... Number=167
Then save even more money by buying Kimpex wheels instead of Yamaha's, plus you get the wider and more durable 6205 bearing.
Then head to Ottawa Fastener and pick of some high grade bolts for a couple of bucks more.
Put that money towards some gas or your trail pass.

I ordered the BRP mounts from my DOO dealer(same as royal ones).....cost me $5.74 each...You will need to grind the slot out alittle to match the yammie rails, very simple to do.
BRP parts #
503 190 389 - TWO bolt mount ($5.74)
233 281 414 - Flanged Nylock nuts (nuts for long & short bolts - $0.42)

So dan it looks like you ground enough out to use the bolt hole to line up the proper height distance you needed right, can you use these same two bolt braces on the outside at the rear adjacent to the two inside rear mounts?ROCKERDAN said:I ordered the BRP mounts from my DOO dealer(same as royal ones).....cost me $5.74 each...You will need to grind the slot out alittle to match the yammie rails, very simple to do.

on the MONO skid(06-09)you cannot use these 2 bolt mounts in rear outer locations(look closely at pic above)
you only use 2 bolt mounts in TWO locations for idler wheels(preferably 135mm wheels)
-FRONT OUTER IDLERS
-INNER IDLERS
the REAR outer idler MOUNTS will remain stock 1 bolts yammie style....at this location the MONO from 06 to 09 has a steel bracket,so the rails cannot bend here....I GROUND approx 1/8" off the backside of my stock MOUNTS at this location,so the STOCK BOLT AND PINCH NUT will work properly when installing new 135mm wheels which have the wider 6205 bearing.
I will be doing a entire write-up on my setup with lots of pics in about a week when i get skid back together. Just waiting for arms from halfbaked coatings....Brian is doing my beefup kit.

I want to use the 2 bolts mounts for rear inner location. Just like the 2010 diagram.

Since I don't have any mounts right now I wanted to try using the two bolt instead of buying new one bolt mounts. Just as an added precaution since I ride double up with the wife when we go in the trails.

Found this diagram of the 2010 RS Venture. Which uses the same bolts as above with 2 bolt brackets and still uses the brace on the rails. I'll be ordering this since it's only 13$ and should work for my monoshock.
I'm guessing Yamaha still figures 2 bolt wheel bracket and brace is needed...

just be sure this is what you need....those mounts in the microfiche above are designed to mount onto a rail bracket,so they are not the same as a MONO skid setup which mounts directly to the rail.
for a MONO skid the mounts are flat on one side where both bolts attach, unlike the ones you posted that are made to mount the long bolt and short bolts at different areas.
also the 2010 mounts for yammie are not same as other 2 bolt mounts...they look to me like they use a spacer and bolt instead of the wheel itself going onto the mount, looks like an odd design to me,probably will be more issues...i dont see why they didnt just use a normal 2 bolts mount for 2010 like the BRP ones.

Dan and everyone else.
I found these part numbers and ordered through my Yamaha/Doo dealer here in La Crosse WI for everything costs me $32. Not bad for a fix I shouldn't have to worry about again! Thanks again Dan for figuring this out! Need Snow!!!

Hey guys, my 06 rails are cracked so I am replacing them with 07+ rails. Should I still add the 2-bolt mounts to the newer rails?

just to be clear....the only reason you really would ever need 2 bolt mounts is if you go to a 135mm wheel.....i spose you could still use a 2 bolts mount with the standard sized 130mm yammie wheels but there is very little worry about bending/cracking rails with the 130mm wheels.
the whole theory here starts with 135mm wheels to SAVE clips and SAVE sliders and create less rolling resistance and more top speed.
In order to make the 135mm wheels work without other issues, you need the 2 bolt mounts.
I hope this clarifies why I use 2 bolt mounts....its many new things all at once that our mono skid needs to be perfect IMO.

if you cracked the rails where stock idlers mount to rail, then i would say 100% that a 2 bolt mount would have HELPED with that problem.
