I want to shine my tunnel on my xtx best-easy way to do it and pics of your shine would be nice too, thanks.

In your words "best-easy way", use Busch's polish and a powerball on your drill. It's still not easy or really quick but looks pretty damn good when you're done. You'll use alot of rags to buff it out, and buy some good microfibers or soft cloth diapers for the final shine. And by the way you'll still have to do some by hand (corners and hard to reach places).

if you want your tunnel to really shine you have to put the work in i.e. wet sand, rouge, polish. I have tried to go the easy way but you just dont get the good shine.

I vote don't do anything. It becomes a lot of work!

If you seal the tunnel after you polish it, it's not that much work...30 minutes at the beggining of each season. If you want a mirror shine than you need to wetsand, 1000, 1500 and 2000 grit...then use a polishing rouge followed by hand polishing with a quality polish. I've used all different types, Flitze, Mothers Mag n Aluminum, Mothers Billet etc...and Bushes is bay far the best, cuts easy and comes off easy. It's alot of work but the end result is worth it IMO.

X2 lol. and you cant just do a "quick" polishing job. ive tried it. does not work. either keep it like it come and just keep it clean, or gotta really spend some time to make it look good.

I am sorry, but when it comes to tunnels you can not combine the words "shine" and "easy" in the same sentence. If you want the shine it takes some serious elbow grease...

Absolutly true...to get a mirror shine it takes ALOT of work....but once you get there, maintanance is not that bad...but sealing it each season helps. I'm also lucky as mine stays in a heated garage and I'm able to give it a hose off and chamois after each ride wich also helps...but I only polish it at the beginning of eac season...15-20 min a side of hand rubbing.

Why not use an electric buffer, like what is used on automotive finishes...

There isn't many places big enough to get a 3" polishing wheel on a drill, let alone a 8-10" orbital.... Some areas just HAVE to be done by hand.
Looks great and I have been trying to talk myself out of doing this and this is not helping.

Can't deny that a polished tunnel looks totally awesome... but my elbows hurt just thinking about it!
I'm glad my new tunnel is black...leaves me no choice but to not polish it! lol
