can anyone help me with finding out which bearings I need for assembly? It's a 2005 vector mountain. My crank web numbers are 2222 331, case numbers are 6665, and connecting rod numbers are 6F.
I have noticed 1 set of yellow and 3 sets of pink for the crank bearings but the pink looked more...
Yes exactly what I was thinking too because it is always to late when or if that happens. Seems like when the oil light comes on its too late. I didn't even get that warning. Would be nice to have some protection since I'm rebuilding my engine as we speak . I wouldn't want it to happen again
The part numbers on the connecting rods on the Yamaha parts fiche is the same for the 05-07 vectors so I'm confused. Next thing is to call Yamaha. I'm just waiting on my crank to come back from repairs since I spun the middle rod bearing. I was talking to Travis he has connecting rods for a...
hey guys
I'm wondering what do the stamps on the connecting rods stand for on a 05 vector? Mine has 6E stamped on them. I know the 6 is used to find your bearing size but what is the letter for? I'm trying to buy used connecting rods but they have a different letter stamped in them. I'm unsure...
I got a question for some guys out there for rebuilding these engines. How do you determine which bearings for your crank and connecting rods. How do you figure that out from using your casting numbers from your crank and crank case ? I have the manual but u don't get how they use the example to...
Pics above identifys the culprit to my problem haha middle connecting rod bearing. There's some scoring on the crank where the beating went do I'm hoping it ain't too bad
No warning light what so ever. Like grizztracks said rod bearings are usually first to go and I'm thinking that too because of the copper coloured fillings I have in my oil pan cover under the oil pump. It also got a little gummy up on the camshafts but with some cleaning it should be fine...
Yup for sure! Almost got it pretty much scraped down to the engine now i should have it out tmr. I'm just hoping I don't have as much damage as I think I have lol I'm just thinking it maybe a connecting rod wrist pin seized or rod bearing.
