So at the end of last season I had a roller bolt come loose - which allowed the weight to swing out and smash into the sliding sheave - which busted the weight and smashed a hole in the sheave, I managed to limp it home and parked it. Just getting around to dealing with it now - I'll need a...
Just got back from a week long trip and although I didn't need top speed most of the time, when I did push it - it wasn't there.
My sled started as a 121 - its now stretched to a 144 with a 2" track, and 8 tooth drivers. I'm topping out at 75mph on GPS. I know I've got more out of this...
Just a heads up for anyone looking for a new key or a spare anyways - I ordered a couple from here

And its a match to our stock yamaha key. Had it cut at the local home hardware for a couple bux..
Order one up and get it cut to...
Lets get an idea of how many owners are running what.
Vote for what octane you run most often, lets try and keep this for non boosted sleds, as we already know you boosted guys are running higher.
Ive been mulling over the idea of changing my sleds look somewhat. Here it is now>

On the right.. Ive been considering swapping the nose plastic for black.. Or possibly adding the black sticker off of this sled (the one that runs up the nose) but...
So I finally got around to contacting the closest yamaha shop to me in NS (I have no history with them though) And asked about ball joint replacement for my 08. They said there is no warranty or recall notice for them, and they are just a wear item..
I know I've read about a lot of people...
For those of you who ditched the car mufflers, and have gone to new canisters, how did you finish off the look? If you exited under the seat, are you centered within the hole? I hate the unfinished look, but havent sat down and came up with anything yet to close it in.
Just topped up the fuel in my sled today, and filled it right up to the white sleeve.. I walk across the garage and back and then I hear running water.. or so I thought.. Turns out it started pissing fuel under the left hand panel/running board foot hole.
I didn't have time to investigate...
I've been having some guys messaging me about the clearance with a 2" track. So I snapped a pic today for future searches.
Its a 121 extended to a 144 with 2" camoplast challenger and 8 tooth wahls (avid doesnt make an 8 tooth 2.52 pitch driver), cooler protectors removed...
Just spoke to a dealer in PA that I've dealt with before, and turns out they are closing.. They said they have yamaha parts/accessories in stock and on sale for the closing. But it will mostly be for in store customers, nothing showing online.
Zanotti is there name, no idea what they've got...
So I'm going to be putting in an order for OEM parts out of the USA, just wondering if there is anything I should put on it that is good to have spares of?
Right now the general things are a spare belt, and push pins, since I always seem to bust a couple. What other spare items are good to...
Hey guys, quick question on upgrading my wheels. Just extended from 121 to 144, and am going to order excell's 8 wheel kit, since it only comes with 1 set of new mounts, I'll need to order the parts for another set.
In this pic, can I use the new 2 bolt mounts on my 08 rails? (I dont mind...
Anyone ride with these?

I picked up a set end of season last winter for what I thought was a good price from port yamaha.
They really don't have much insulation in them though, so I'll have to layer it seems, reading around more on...
Has anyone played with a simple plate/block mounted to the stock handle bar mount that will extend the bars forward and rise them a touch (thickness of plate /plus slight angle upwards of the mount)?
A simple block thats roughly twice as long as it is wide or so, so that the 4 stock holes...
New to the nytro and I'm looking around for info on adjusting the belt. On my old sleds there were always tons of videos and how-to's on how to adjust the different set ups on where the belt sits in the sheaves, why am I not seeing anything for these machines??
