are the shocks in the skid of a base 2008 nytro rebuildable? I know the front by gytr ones are for 2008, but not sure on the skid shocks. The price Yamaha Canada wants for them I assume they are, but not sure ($550 and $650!) just looking to freshen them up
Thanks
Royal Distributing has a 25% off sale today only. I am trying to replace my idler wheels with Kimpex wheels.
Style R on the link below is the only 5.3" OD wheel listed with a 6005 bearing (when you click on PN to add to cart it shows up the bearing size as 6005) Is this style R idler wheel...
2008 fx nytro (gytr coil overs) how many inches of sag should I have? Right now I have 1.75". Set the skid per recommendations on here, just looking to dial in front end. Running pilot skis, if that affects things.
Anyone ever put frogzskin to cover up the hold in the hood behind the headlight? Just don't like the look of the hole and how you see all the wires and stuff under the hood. I can buy frogzskin in rectangle pieces, various sizes and cover these 2 holes. Just wondering if anyone else on here has...
I just spent $84 with tax (Canadian) for a full synthetic oil change kit for my nytro. I see my local Arctic Cat dealer has the 7000 series engine oil change kits for $66 (Tax in) I assume the filter would be fine, as it even says YAMAHA right on it! Comes with 1 Gal. of Synthetic C-Tech oil...
I see at Canadian tire they list liquid black and liquid red as options for plasti dip. They are $5 more a can, and what I want to know is this the glossy black or red? Or is it liquid electrical tape? I think I want the glossy black for my a arms, just trying to figure this out
Looking on yamaha's parts fiche there are a number of different part numbers over the various model years for lower ball joints on the nytro. I have a 2008 fx nytro and I see there is a new part number superseding the original part number. Is this the best ball joint to get for my sled? Also...
So I have my nytro tore all apart to put in the copper exhaust donuts and install hid's and an oft steering relocate. When I took my gas tank off I noticed this round black plastic thing dangling around, after some parts diagram research I realized it is my reverse beeper. Anyways can anyone...
Quick question, 2008 standard fx nytro, my rear skid shock (one with no spring) is the nut and centre flat head screw on the piggy back resi for hi and low speed compression dampening? My mxz 440x looked similar, but not sure if it's the same on my nytro rear shock.
Did a search and all I can find is the primary rattle threads at idle, which doesn't bother me that much as I know it won't hurt anything. But today was my first trip on my 2008 fx nytro (3700 miles) and I noticed while going slow through tight access trails I can hear a vibration/rattle noise...
Just getting my sled fuelled up for tomorrow's maiden voyage with my nytro and I topped the fuel right up to the rim of the gas tank, then the fuel level would gurgle down an inch or so and I would add a little more (I know the tanks are small so I wanted every last drop) after repeating this...
Can someone tell me the difference between wide slides and regular slides? They sell both on the yamaha accesories page. I'm looking at the hi performance side slides, my skid has extra wheels, and previous owner said he had no issues with slide wear. but knew about the wear issues on some as...
Just picked up my 2008 fx nytro (black and blue) 3700 miles and with the help of this forum I believe I picked a good clean nytro that has the common issues looked after already.
Also on a side note I greased my drive shaft bearing and jack shaft bearing today. Drive bearing was dry looking...
