    Hygear frustration

Well just an update on my friends at hygear. If it wasn’t for this forum or site I might not have been able to get the linkage on my viper. The customer support or lack of support was awful. I was humiliated by one person indicating that I could not conceptualize the system, I lacked any...

    Hygear frustration

Hey members I’m trying to install the 141 linkage kit from hygear on my 2015 stxdx. That cam for the rear shock mount doesn’t seem to want to go. Hygear got smart alex with me because I said their YouTube video wasn’t very helpful and the included instructions are not helpful, pictures are very...

    That damm reverse!

Well I guess the modern sleds just aren’t made for the winter anymore, period. What I’m gonna do is drill a couple small holes in the housing and cover them with frogskinz, this way the moisture will have a way to possibly escape. Just worth a try, can’t loose out.

    That damm reverse!

Okay I know it's a tiring issue but I need to know how to test why the reverse isn't coming on at all on my '15 viper. I press the button and there's nothing, when the actuator was screwy the lights used to dim indicating that there was draw but the actuator wasn't engaging. Now it has nothing...

    Help with reverse.....

It’s more than likely the drive motor, if you notice that with the motor motor running and you press the reverse switch, if you noticed the headlight dims it’s the drive motor motor jammed up.You can take the motor apart and check the armature which is probably green at the brushes.,or replace...

Chain case overfill - is it a problem?

everyone has a different opinion on this. Last year when my vipers top bearing went out I really looked into this subject of oil capacity and type of oil to use. There where a lot of threads on this and it all led up to a common reason for wear in that chain case. Not quit enough oil and not...

    Special socket.

Update to the socket tool! Just in case, I fudged up, the socket has to be like at least 5" long to fit over the shaft! My bad, that's what experimenting is about. Just cut the 1/2" end drive off and added pipe welded back together worked like a charm.

    need to settle something....

Thanks Wannaviper I talked to hygear tech today actually gave me some great information on where I want to begin with the ride upgrade. It's the same problem I find that when we as consumers buy a BrandNew product we're always spending hundreds of extra dollars on improvements later to get what...

    need to settle something....

Well for sure I am looking at cost for sure on the parts, but I ride mainly open lake and not so well groomed bush trails which can be very bumpy at times. What's happening with my original setup is I have to pump up that shock to at least 150 lbs., so it doesn't bottom out on the trails then on...

    Brake bleeding issues....

Hello folks last spring I was on the edge with my sled as I did a complete chain case bearing rebuild and brake bearing. As some of us know that when the brake disc is removed the hell begins with getting the brakes to bleed. Well I began my venture again here the other day and tried all the...
