    Exhaust Donut Replacement Procedure

I've fixed my RS Venture GT for the last time, I put in those new flex pipes, and won't buy another Yamaha with this PIS set up. Who designed this anyway? Yamaha daycare?

Any one order a 2022 RS Venture

I've posted at least 12 times how to get rid of the tipyness, I'm done posting that fix. If that sled has the pipes coming out of the back of the sled, plan on fixing your exhaust every year! Handling and exhaust designed by Yamahas best, or worst? Worst! Cheers

My 2012 RS Venture GT has 27 000 km on it. So far, so good!

    07 RS Viking (973cc Carbed) - Hard Starting/Backfiring

I had a 2008 rs Venture, carbed, not starting properly, and actually dying on the trail, when I let go of the throttle! The engine was defective! It had a cracked exhaust valve, so it wouldn't hold enough compression to start it properly. My dealers first response once they completed a...

    Bought 2006 RS Venture

Well, I won't be trying that method, as it doesn't make much sense. It sounds okay, in theory, but not practical. Thanks for something to contemplate though. Cheers

    Bought 2006 RS Venture

Get all the weight off the coil over spring on the front shock in your rear suspension. This will stop your sled from wanting to fall over in corners. Snow trackers on the skis, ZERO toe in/out, and you won't have any darting. I don't know why people say to put a bungee cord on your ski...

bungee cord on your skis? WHY???

Anyone done a valve adjustment on a 2016 Vector?

They are all way to complicated!! They should offer better/longer warranties, with curbside pickup. Your new car dies, which is the same price, and they come and get it. The car has a 3 year warranty though, the sled, basically nothing! And then you have to get it to the dealer, out of the...

New 2021 Venture - Starting Question

I've got 27000 km's on my fuel injected, no issues yet. Thinking about doing my valves this summer. I did my old inline 4 cylinder Suzuki motorcycle once. Easy peasy 5 minutes to get the valve cover out of the way, and everything was right there. This dam thing, likely 4 hours to get the head...

New 2021 Venture - Starting Question

Sorry, can't help you there! I do not like all the electronic crap out there. Just more things to break down, and personal time wasters. Social media? That should say, Anti-social Media. Good luck with getting that bug ironed out! Maybe your sled has covid, and can't breath properly? Air...

    RS Venture and jackshaft failures

It was, until mine failed! Their first one apparently! Suuure! Exhaust valve cracked, destroying the head and valve guide. Dealer didn't think Yamaha would fix it. I told the dealer fix it, or keep it! Four strokes are supposed to last!

    How do I..........?

I wouldn't use the hammer on the carbs though;)

New 2021 Venture - Starting Question

It's just a 1 gallon red plastic gas container. The same as the 5 gallon one you use to fill your sled at home, but smaller! It's only about 10" tall, and it barely fits!

New 2021 Venture - Starting Question

If you pull out that white sleeve, you'll likely get a few more litres of fuel in there. If you're away from civilization, gas stations are becoming rarer than an honest politician! I carry an extra 4 litres container in my trunk, and have used it!

1049 cc "old" vs "new" Monoshock vs Single Shot fuel economy?

Yup. My first ride was yesterday! Winter was 4-7 weeks later than normal here. Another disappointing winter:(

1049 cc "old" vs "new" Monoshock vs Single Shot fuel economy?

No matter how you look at it, snowmobiles are not good on fuel, so who cares, and just drive it! Cheers

How to change plugs on a 2016 Vector

Yup, take the worst engineers you can find, and get them to design vehicles! They may look good, but they are designed to be financially good to the dealers! What happened to open the entire hood in 4 seconds, and there is the battery, entire exhaust, carbs, entire engine, clutches, chaincase...

    RS Venture thumb throttle.

pto = power take off, so clutch side. By removing that spring, hopefully that carb will close when you aren't touching the throttle.

Anyone done a valve adjustment on a 2016 Vector?

Take the worst engineers you can find, and get them to design vehicles! They visually look nice, and are financially nice to the garages!
