Nice job on the tank, great spot for one because you can't do much with the tunnel extention anyway because of the exhaust.

Would you have to put a check valve in the line to prevent fuel from flowing back on rougher trails and when going uphill?

Line from aux tank goes into the vent line at the top of the main tank. No worries.
