I just changed mine using yamaha's own oil. One bottle. I drained the old oil. Put in a few drops of new to wash out and old oil left on the bottom. Then dropped in the entire bottle. It now sits perfectly between STD and Rev which I understand to be where it should be. Took 10 mins!

I put in polaris because i have a 4L jug of the stuff and its basically all the same no matter what you get, its just 75w90 gear oil anyway. It takes about 300mL if i recall.

I know this had been posted before.

You NEED to screw the dipstick in for the chaincase. You DO NOT screw in the dipstick for the engine oil.

From the manual, screw the dipstick in!

Mobil-1 75-90 full synthetic or Amsoil Marine Gear lube.
