What the best/safest way to remove a decal on a plastic body panel without damaging the plastic?
I used a heat gun with great results
I have done this multiple times. Hair dryer ( just a little heat to get the glue soft ) and start picking at it. Comes off pretty easy once you get going. Some stickers on the tunnel are a b**ch but everything comes off. Use a standard cleaner to get any left over glue.

Heat, goo gone and an old credit card or plastic hotel room card. Metal scraper may damage your plastic.

Hair dryer on warm (too much heat from heat gun could warp plastic), peel easy & spray with WD-40.
Works for me.
Have used straight gas to clean adhesive off as well.

Thanks for the advice guys. I will be borrowing the wife's air dryer as soon as I get a few minutes.

Don't use wd-40 on the hood. It will ruin the finish. Side panels not so much but hood and gas tank cover are sensitive for some reason. Isopropyl alcohol or goo gone works much better
