If you are talking about the remote adjuster dial for the mono-shock on the side of the tunnel, this feature only controls shock rebound. At full hard you will have next to no rebound control.
I assume you want to control bottoming out due to your weight since you mentioned it. You need to adjust the spring pre-load on the shock itself with the cam adjuster.
I would leave rebound dial in the middle, adjust the shock pre-load to proper sit-in for your weight, there is information on this in the FAQ section.
