My 07's warmer's yellow/red wires both go into the harness loom separately. Where at in the harness are you guys cutting the y/r wire to tap the controllers yellow and orange wires to. Not knocking Rock, but the instruction are not really accurate, unless I'm missing something. I don't want to cut more loom than needed searching. To me my grip heaters are wired parallel, not series. Based on 2 connectors with power and ground coming out of the loom going to each grip.

You have to cut below the the connectors that go to ech grip and it wont matter if they are wired in series or parallel. You need to look below the connection where they wires split to each grip.

OK, going back to my first post, how far into the loom?

Found the spot the yellow/red wires are joined. Measure 2 inch from the end of the white tape covering the loom that the left and right grip warmer wires go into. The wires have a small metal splice connecting them. I wanted to find that because I didn't want a splice a 1/2 inch from another splice. I hate that. I cut out the metal connector and put the bullets there.

Re: Apex: Warm hands controller. Who's installed one? Some ?
Yes, on the '07s and on, they are wired in Parallel.
'06 and prior are wired in series. (Applicable to most models)
That is the reason for the "Y" Cable, it connects the two parallel grips together.
Will be integrating the "Y" Cable into the orange wire permanently.
The only reason I didn't have people cut into the harness until they find the factory parallel splice, is that most people don't want to cut into their harness to start with! lol
As far as the instructions they are a general how to do this, as you guys give me info, I am making them more and more accurate for each model.
Your feedback is greatly appreciated!
Hope this helps!
