How much for the sled? They are pretty cheap around here if you can find one. I've seen them as low as $1300 + tax. I paid $1700 delivered by a small dealer with tax. Just sold it this year for $1300.
Have you ridden a rider forward sled? I guarantee that a rider with the same skills as you on a rider forward sled is gone within minutes if twisties are involved.
No matter what you do it will NOT handle like the rider forward sleds. It's a common problem that lots of people keep throwing money at. I keep my Apex for high speed runs, not the twisties.
