I initially had the ECU flashed to pull timing so I could run boost safely with pump fuel. Long story short, I opened engine to clean up some SC housing shavings and put a shim or gasket on when it was put back together. I couldn't tell you which it is. I don't' know the difference! I...
Has anyone used this kit from MPI? It's supposed to provide clean cold air to the SC. It's only $130 but is is really providing better air flow? I don't have an intercooler so I was hoping this would help until I can afford to do the intercooler.
I forgot to mention that I have a head gasket installed and a reflash of the ECU to pull timing. I was told both of these mods, while allowing to run more boost safely on pump fuel, will rob the engine of horsepower. Another member told me that he thinks up to 15%!!!!!
I'm going to run 8lbs of boost on a supercharged nytro. If I run the STM weights, what base weight should I purchase? 50 gram or 60 gram? i believe they can add up to 32 grams with the inserts and washers. I may increase the boost ot 10 but no higher. I believe the stock weights are 47 grams.
I want to replace the pulleys on the supercharger. I bought the sled with the SC already installed so I don't know how it was installed and I don't have the MPI instructions. Can someone tell me what I need to do to replace the pulleys? At least the top pulley, I may leave the bottom alone...
I could careless what shocks are on there because I doubt very much I would be able to tell. And I'm sure 95% of the buyers out there are the same way. Most people buy the upgrade packages just because they want the best not because they need the best. If you have never adjusted the shocks on...
What happens to all the AC buyers when Yamaha no longer provides an engine for their sleds? They are going to get a taste of the engine quality Yamaha provides and have no choice but to switch to Yamaha. Its all in the master plan Yamaha has created.
Understood! Through the trails you can only use so much boost anyhow so the Sidewinder would definitely have the upper hand there. personally, I think 200hp is the magic number for trail riding. I've ridden sleds with more and its just too much 95% of the time. Then again so is 200hp.
