I had a few caps destroyed so I used a washer to take up the space to keep everything tight. Have ridden it 250 miles since and everything is still tight. Now that I have done this once if I had to do it again I'm sure it would go much quicker and easier.

It was on craigslist but I dont remember the dealership. I do remember it was a dealership though.
My 06 Apex ER with 17,000 miles is just as fast as my buddies 11 Apex XTX with 4,000. I'll agree the longer track and power steering does make for a much better ride but not quicker/faster.
I had thought about doing that with my flex ice scratchers too. Last year I had them on my rail but I have a 121 so I had to have them down all the time even when I didn't need them down. Wasn't sure how I would like them on my ski's or if they would interfere with steering.
My dealer said it's a valve issue. He recommends opening the valves up for a little more clearance than what Yamaha specs call for along with cleaning/syncing the throttle bodies and you should be good to go.
Chadman I've run it on my truck for two years before State Police made me take it out and I've run it 3 years on my sled with no issues. The other sled I run with has the kit through Yamaha so if it ever goes down I'll just limp home behind him at night. It's plenty bright at night.
I put this on my 06 Apex. It's the low beam only but bright as hell. No need for the high beam and it only cost $48 for the slim balast kit.

Don, YOU SUCK! (I'm jealous) You didn't invite Justin and I. Looks like you had an awesome season. I guess I need to upgrade the Apex to an XTX too.
