6'2" 180lbs so not that big? Did you leave a message and number? I try to call everyone back, even if that's means working 12-14 hour days. Send me a PM or email.
That was one of many runs that were made at WOT over several days. So many variable can go into the failure. It's hard to comment on what happened without knowing more details?
Something to keep in mind here
1.We've sold Yamaha a lot of superchargers over the last few years and what failures that are visible to everyone on these forums represents a very small percentage of total units in the field and working properly.
2.Over the last few years building and selling...
Because a Rhino has a mounting ring on it and that's the way it came in! But a Rhino and a Apex both use a pulley that is attached to the blower with different clocking. So (internally) we refer to them as being the same. I need to convert a Rhino/Apex the same way.
Apex/Rhino are the same. You had a used blower sent to us that's not for a Nytro then you sent down your Nytro blower that was broken right? I could have taken off all of your old bearings, shaft, seals, etc off your old blower and reinstalled that on your replacement used blower. But instead we...
There's always two sides to every story. I need to focus my efforts at taking care of current needs not someone who bought a used blower from a Yamaha Rhino and wanted it to work on his Nytro?? When I get some time I'll explain what happened.
Based on the muffler this is one of the earlier kits. The first 50 kits had aluminum brackets for a waste gate support. Then we switched to Stainless Steel mounts from that point on. If you or anyone else need one a quick phone call, PM, or email and you can have one.
This WON'T apply to any of the Yamaha kits that shipped this year!!! The controllers used last year has a different base setting and those numbers could be a problem. I know your trying to be helpful but the fuel maps are too different.
Please don't make adjustments without a QUALITY AFR gauge...
When you hit the rev limiter it cuts ignition but still is dumping fuel. So all that un-burnt fuel collects in the muffler and gets hot enough to combust. That's were the back fire is coming from.
Your sled needs clutching!!! Just like I told you in a PM. When you hit the rev limiter it cuts ignition but still is dumping fuel. So all that un-burnt fuel collects in the muffler and gets hot enough to combust. That's were the back fire is coming from.
Thanks for pointing that out. We've made 1000's of these and if we missed a few I'm sorry. It's easy to check now before its installed.
Sorry Butch! We'll work on our SERIOUS fit and finish issues.
The flaw is in the oil air separator that Yamaha/cat uses. It's a vent so way does it have oil running through it? We move it to the other side of the sled which doesn't help the problem but it by no means makes it a MPI problem alone. .Yamaha also added 400cc of oil to the sled this year over...
Sorry!! So you have your turbo? This whole time I've thought you didn't have your turbo! Sorry if I didn't answer the phone all the time, just don't have enough time in the day. I don't know what happened with the prologger? Everything has shipped out. I'll next day air a new prologger today and...
