I recently had a leak and just couldn't find it. I purchased a Mityvac MV4510 Motorcycle Cooling System Test Kit and it fit the radiator neck perfectly and also tests the (radiator cap pressure release). I was able to locate the culprit a loose hose clamp (not real loose just enough to allow a...
Well had ice scratchers down and yellow light refused to go out. Stopped engine and tried to kick the very frozen snow into track ( not much luck very frozen). Was 6-7 miles from home and rode it with light on with scratchers down. Let it sit outside house for 30 minutes then started it up and...
Well I said I would do a review on the Talon 38 once I got some miles on it ( 1100 miles ). I changed my ripsaw out to the Talon 38 and added external drivers (Kimpex from barn of parts). I did not stud this track to allow a little more slide in the corners and that worked out great. She handles...
So I ordered the Talon 38 15 x 1.5 x 144 Composit track and a set of (9 tooth) external drivers. My question is do I have to trim the rails on a 2012 xtx. I noticed that the rail part numbers changed in the year 2011 for xtx and same part number is used for the 1.75 nytro xtx which has the...
Wanted to share this with everyone as I found this worked great with no damage to nylatron bushings. Used a open end 1 1/16" wrench and A-arm in bench vise between 2 pieces of wood. Tap the wrench as close to a-arm as possible and be patient it will come out. Then just clean them inside and out...
This is a great write up on setting up your suspension. Many individuals buy machines and never set them up for their riding style and weight. The difference between a sled setup correctly for you and one you just bought from a dealer or used can be unbelievable. Take the time to get your sled...
I've seen a lot of posts about overheating and what type of antifreeze to use etc. I was wondering if anyone out there has done a conversion to "Evans Waterless Antifreeze". You have to basically remove all water and old antifreeze prior to installing this stuff (powermodz has a youtube video on...
How many Vector owners have installed roll over valve kits on their Vectors. I know they make them for my Nytro, but was wondering if I should put one on the Wife's Vector (she might roll it) not on purpose of course. Do you need them on a Vector?
Pete
Here is a very informative website on testing antifreeze for type A or B electrolysis and what to do to resolve it. As we all know electrolysis is bad for any engine, but aluminum engines really take a beating. If you change your antifreeze every 2 years chances are you won't have issues, but...
I used a crowfoot wrench as advised by Grizz to loosen the steering link and adjust my handlebars. This was a great tech tip as I couldn't get the back nut loose before, but with the crowfoot it was easy until the crowfoot fell off the end of the extension and into the engine compartment. So a 1...
Does anyone have a 1.5 crossover track in there XTX with the tunnel protectors? Any issue with clearance on the front cooler? I was wondering if I could fit one in without any mods. Do you need to add extroverts or will it live with the stock drivers?
Thanks,
Pete
I purchased 4th wheel kits for my Nytro XTX and the wife's Vector LTX. I thought I read somewhere on here that you can install them without removing the skid. Has anybody done that and can you give me some tips on how to.
Thanks
Pete
In the old version after I read a post it would show greyed out so I knew the ones that I had read. Is there anyway to make that happen in this new version.
Thanks
Pete
Got to say was very impressed with (Barn of parts sled salvage) Travis helped me with some Vector and Nytro stuff I needed and was very responsive to all my requests. Best of all he was reasonable on pricing. Get those sleds ready snows coming and better to do now then when its -20 deg f.

Got my new Mountaintech A Arm 43 +2 kit and installed Ulmers oil lite bushings in them using the threaded rod trick. My dilemma is the stock aluminum collars were very hard to get in the new bushings and I camfered the end of the stock collars and used a dremel to slightly camfer the new...
