It's not listed on the website or the brochure, but our Yamaha rep mentioned it and the sled is listed on our order form. The Bravo long track that has been in Canada and Alaska is back for the lower 48 for 20011. The MSRP for the US is $4099. I'm thinking they have it there for a 'last chance'...
Right from a Yamaha Gold school: the EXUP system on the bikes is markets as a performance device , but it is really there to lower the sound level at a certain RPM test that the US Feds impose. It closes off part off the exhaust system to tone the sound down...it does nothing for performance...
Technically it's not a 'Recall' but what is called a 90 code. You will not get a letter from Yamaha if it's not a recall, but the repair will be covered under warranty even if the sled is out of warranty. Have your dealer look at TSB S2008-07. It includes all 2008 Nytros and 2007-08 Phazer...
Check with your dealer, there is a new TSB that came out with a new part number for lower ball joints. They can be replaced is they are loose. This is not a recall, just a 90 code and they are coverd regardless of warranty status. All '08 Nytros and '07 and '08 Phazers are covered.
aAt the dealer meeting it was address, the machine process was not correct on some ball joints, the internals were not smooth enough which is acting like sandpaper on the teflon insert. Sounded like it was not all of them, and replacement ball joints are supposed to be correct.
Our Yamaha sales rep was at the store yesterday and said that this release was not the 'big sled' we will see in March...........
stay tuned folks!

Any chance she was using the 'switchblade' key? There was a buliten out a couple of years ago on Vector/Rage/Nytro showing the correct and incorrect useage of it. If it's in the 'wrong way' it can hit the cowl when you let go from cranking and it will run the starter 'till she fries!
Wow, what a shock! I just attended a service manager school that Tom taught in November. That man had forgotten more about the Yamaha product than anyone else will ever learn, what a great loss to Yamaha and all of us as dealers. Our condolences to his family.

Typically you should see a sled with a MSRP of $7199 USD sell for around $6499 USD prep included. Then take off $200 cash for the snowcheck parts rebate and you're at $6299 plus tax and registration.
Might be tough considering invoice is over $6600.................
The East coast warehouse is in New Jersey, and it will depend on the trucking company that picks it up. We sometimes get units from Jersey overnight, sometimes it takes a week. ( We're in NH)
