It is a really good day when your 15 year old wants to join TY. It is even better when he wants his user name to be Ratpack JR. I now know what a pain in the rear I am to my wife. He is as hooked as I am.
My number 4 cylinder is not firing. We have cleaned the carbs, switched coils, and checked the coil wire all the way to the CDI. Does anyone know what the voltage is coming out of the coil wire BEFORE the coil?
Is there a dealer in the us that sells Expert X parts. I have emailed and called but AD Bovin does not return either. Sure would like to get this sled put back together.
Where is a good place in the UP for play areas and tree riding. I don't mind trails, but really want to play in the powder. We are also going to be looking to rent a cabin.
A 10-12 hour drive is starting to look better than 28.
So I'm thinking maybe the snowies next year instead of the CDT. Will I like it down south or should I stay where I know the area? We have been going to the Dubois area for 15 years and now think maybe its time for a change. Just don't want to drive 1800 miles and not be happy with where we are...
I have a 2003 RX1. My clutching was good last year, but the sled has changed. My gearing was 23/38 with 7 pounds of boost. Now it is 21/38 with 10 pounds.
It is a 144"x2" with 8 tooth drivers. 8fa-00 with 17.2 in both holes. 14.5 rollers. I don't remember what spring. White spring with 51/43...
Are the advantages of having the air filter outside of the hood worth it on a super charger? And, does anyone know what the jet size difference would be if this is done? I'm wondering if my loss of power in the deep and steep is because of starving for air.
I have a RX1 with 10lbs. of boost, 144"x2". Time for a new change. What do I want for my top gear? It is 24/38 now and I'm leaving the 38 on the bottom. Do I want 23 or 22 on the top?
If anyone wants wilderness area maps for their Garmin, I found them on gpsfiledepot.com. The price is good,,,,FREE. You can load them with any other maps.
Every time that I hit a jump the sled dies when I land. I have not looked fast enough to see if it is a rich flood or not. When I start it up after this happens the sled does not want to start. The carbs have the mountain bowls with new o-rings. The carbs have been off and everything seems fine...
Last year I had 24 pulleys on the top and bottom and had 7 lbs of boost. I told MPI that I wanted 10 lbs and they sent me a 26 tooth for the bottom. Now it has 15 lbs and is running lean. Any ideas?
