Like the title says, wondering if anybody has used ATF in the chaincase. If so how'd it work, any issues?
Running it in my nytro for the first time. About 450 miles so far. Don't notice any difference over the gear oil other than it shifts into reverse much easier.

I ran it in my 02 Viper always and 05 warrior for a while. Didn't see any gains so went back to amsoil syn chaincase lube.

I have some Royal Purple Synchromax that I'm going to try, I have read a couple people have used it without issue.

Why not just stick with the suggested oil that yamaha has in the Manual ?

I only run ATF when I run it on the Asphalt Racing.

I used it in my 2007 mxz, no issues. I picked up cat synthetic chain case lube for my nytro, local Yamaha dealer sells cats as well.
