Funny story on these. I purchased a cover for my 07 Apex, and it turns out it was for an RX1. It was tight in placed, but fit and held well when used. When got my 2012, the old cover went away. I do think it may have fit, but not well. The rear of the seat and tail light were just so pointed.
The new cover is nowhere near the weight of the old cover, but it serves the purpose for sure. Don't worry about model of apex within the model year either, the cover doesn't go over the tunnel like the Viper covers do. Tunnel length is the only real difference within a model year as far as covers go.
Good luck!
