IFlyEm, congratulations on your new XTX. You are going to love it!

If you haven't purchased skis before Hayday's and are planning on swinging through, we eagerly invite you to stop over to our booth. Nick and I would be happy to go over the Curve XS with you in person.

Either way, let us know if you have any questions about our product ;)!

Here is some homework for you. It is a poll of what skis guys liked on their Nytros. I liked my C&A pros a lot. If you look at the pictures of a lot of the race sleds Yamaha or not. They are even running them. I have Simmons on my apex which makes it corner like a train. Might try them for kicks on the Nytro. Would like to see if they stick too much in the corners with that dual carbide.

personally i didnt like the powderhounds on my nytro mtx. the stock yamaha mountain ski was a better choice for my riding style. ski

Just remember when buying skis that its easy to get sucked in to hype and pay as much as $500 or more for certain skis.........remember that you dont always get what you pay for and there are skis available for half that cost that will perform much better.

Snow trackers do nothing for flotation..............

Thats why I have the mountain skis. The snow trackers will make the stock skis work as well as any aftermarket ski on a groomed trail for way less $$. Like Justinator said it is easy to get sucked in...

Anyone ever try the new C&A ski's that are 7-1/4" wide with the racing keel, on their Nytro? The added flotation, with agressive trail manors sound pretty sweet. Don't forget to try out ebay or our classifieds for skis with a little wear. You might be able to get them, and a couple other goodies for the first $500.00 Why not get the most for your money IMO

I can only give my experience with what I put on my RTX SE. I went with Pilot 5.7s ($202.00) and 8 inch carbides ($74.00). For $276.00, my sled was completely changed for the better. The rockered design of the ski made the steering easier. They completely eliminated darting and made it corner like it's on rails. I will say in deeper powder, the 5.7s do not have much floatation. I'm sure other skis perform great as well. I've heard great things about Curve XS and C & A. However, for the cost, the Pilots are tough to beat.
