Just wondering if anyone has tried with much luck painting their a-arms. I know the right way is just to powder coat them, but it just isn't in the budget this year. I realize they will chip but anyone try it, and if so, what paint worked the best?

wire brush and spray paint will do the trick...actually know quite a few people who just do this every spring.

I did mine with box spray liner for a truck- just make sure the arms are clean and use a wire brush like "MNBlizzard" said

plasti dip is always an option. It is very durable, and just peels off if you ever want it to come off.

Cool thanks. What brand of paint seems to match up best with Yamaha blue?

I painted mine and used a grill paint. Sanded them down and cleaned them really well. Lasted all last year and no chips or flakes.

Whatever you do just make sure to prep the surface really well, I've had powder coat not last 100 miles because it was a crap prep job.

Buddy of mine used Por-15 on his roll cage of drag car and I thought it was powder coated. Was very impressed and looked the same color as my silver a-arms.

X2 por-15. Awesome product, hard as a rock. Only concern is should be clear/top coated for uv exposure.Lots of info on their site.
