With a lot of talk about how heavy the 4 strokes are which sled would be heavier? the new side winder or a new apex.

I don't know the exact difference in weight, but the Apex has to be heavier then a Sidewinder by quite a few pounds.

If a viper weighs about 525, a SW will weigh a little more - say 575 (max).

An apex weighs in at 650 lbs.

I believe Yamaha said ~40# heavier than a Viper but I can't see how the turbo system on Sidewinder adds that much weight. And I've seen "official" dry weights around 615 for the Apex so somewhere around 50# lighter for the Winder.

I will say the Polaris wet weight is impressive being also it caries 2.5 gal more fuel the the Doo Doo. From what i can tell.

My 2013 Apex SE is 681 lbs wet.
Turbo YamaCats appear to weigh about the same as my Apex SE.
Hmmmm !!!
The xtx would weigh a little more wet, but the single shot suspension has some weight savings.

Note those are studded. Depending on how many studs and length of them that could vary quite a lot.
