Search using my user name of "Mills" and you will see the write-up and photos I posted. The block off plate closes the openings in the top of the tunnel where the exhaust system goes from under the tunnel to above the tunnel. Without it, snow dust gets flung up on the exhaust, melts and drips back down on the track only to get flung around again creating a huge iceberg in the back of your tunnel.
It took me about an hour to cut, form and install the plate and I have not had any issues with the tunnel icing since.
