bringing back this thread, as i have the same problem right now iwth my 08 apex. im getting code 11. i have wired in a temp gauge and air/fuel gauge to the sled, and when i went to start it, the battery only had 8.4 volts, so i put a tender on it, let it charge, and then went to start it...

i didnt no, I should have, I do have a couple pic of the side cover off, but didnt do it as a DIY photo gallery. If i have to replace another one, ill be sure to take photos.

you do have to splice into the factory harness. I did my splice on the opposing side of the case, to make sure it didnt get saturated with oil. Pretty easy repair.

you can buy just the crank sensor from rmstator.com. Good prices, and exact same model as what comes stock in the apex. Replaced mine last year after my sled wouldnt start. No problems since.

take a fine peice of emery clutch, and sand the sharpe edge away.. clean with soap and water, and should be good. Dont sand to hard in that one spot, just take as much as you need until the edge is gone.

im not sure, good question. I would asseume it would stay on.. Is that not how they do it from the factory???

Should I get the spring powder coated too, or leave yellow. I think it looks killer, but all my buddies are saying go black!

Does anyone have a list that shows what came stock in the sleds?? I had my chain chase apart last week to replace the drive axle, and when i got it apart, i counted the teeth, and im running 23/38... Reading this thread makes me believe that it isnt stock.. ?? I ran against a 2010 apex...

purchased GYTR shocks, and xtx primary clutch, both in excellent shape, exactly as per discription. Will deal with again. A++++++++++++

i have it all together already, and it fits perfect, with the 08 chain case. I have the speedo bearing in place, and cover back on, and axle is centered properly under the sled...?? unless, the Axle i got wasnt for a newer apex and i mus-interpreted what it is.. What year did the axle become...

why would you need to cut anything off the axle? I just put a 2012 axle in my 08 and it fit fine??

2.52, 9 tooth for stock yamaha tracks.. i just put a new exo driver on my sled.. Great upgrade to ensure no more ratcheting.

probably still cost you more to buy from the us with the conversion rate its at now, plus duty at the boarder.. that 7 perent is probably less then what you would pay in conversion and duty together.. i try and find as many canadian dealers i possibly can before going to the us..
