And I'm looking for any info you have on Canadian dealers/sites that sell Yamaha OEM parts online, that can preferably be ordered online with ground/snail mail shipping. A place that regularly does this is ideal instead of trying to get dealerships who don't - who then have to ship me stuff and...
May I present for your enjoyment: The 2017 Snowmobile Season! lol
2017 Snowmobile Season: Episode 1
Video Description: Getting the sleds out from storage after the first snowfall of the year, showing the mileage on the two 2015 Backcountry 600's and the 2009 FX Nytro, a tragically warm start...
I'm back at it with the video's. It's a 2015 - 2016 thread, so this stuff is from last winter. Better late than never ;-)
2016 Snowmobile Season: Episode 1: Farewell Bearcat
Cheers,
YK
The day after the 2017 releases here I am deciding to crawl out from the snowball i've been hiding behind since the start of the winter. The new releases prompted me to the forums, along with a buddy of mine who has another thread going about the return of the VK 540.
To those who are taking...
Hey folks;
Just wanted to post that we (finally) started riding today (for those of you that were wondering/have followed my previous season's threads) and the camera's are rolling and the Viper is running. I'm patiently waiting for the fuel mapping update and will bring you my own testing...
Same old story for me with various makes/models - riding at -30 to -40, snow in Yellowknife is very dry and granular like sugar. It gets through every crack and hole in the frame, let alone any open vents and then freezes my steering.
I want to cover up the exhaust vent opening on the right...
I'm going to Whitehorse, Yukon (for the first time) in 2 weeks. I can't find a single business that rents mountain machines.
Do any of you know a TY user who lives in Whitehorse that could point me in the direction of getting my hands on a sled?
I'll obviously pay - he'll i'm even...
Well - here we go again!! Another season, another set of adventures. Thanks to Tom and the moderators at TY who continue to allow me the pleasure of sharing my stories with you all.
Thanks to all of you who watch the video's, subscribe to my youtube page and comment on my stuff. You're the...
I've exploded another OEM rear track shock on my XTX p/n 8HL-47480-01-00
Price through dealer taxes in with 10% off Canadian dollars is $458.
A little over a year ago I blew one up, and I just exploded another one today.
What other options do I have because I'm having trouble finding...
Well, it's another snowmobile season and my attempt to document it through video episodes begins now with the first one of the winter. Thanks to Tom for allowing me to post the thread in this higher traffic forum, and thanks to those of you who send positive messages my way to motivate me to...
Well, here we go with the first new episode of the year...
2012 Snowmobile Season: Episode One
Video Description: The first real snowfall of the season, riding the Lac La Martre winter road, problems with the Nytro XTX, a short review of a Sled Solutions tunnel bag, taking the kids on...
After taking the 2009 - 2010 season off with little to no updates, i'm returning to a regular winter mileage log for the 2010 - 2011 snowmobile season with more adventures caught on film.
2011 Season Episode 1: La La Martre
I haven't come across any factory Yamaha/OEM Prefilter to block snow from going through the vents/screens on the side panels of the Nytro's. Does something from Yamaha exist for this?
If not/either way, I found out by accident that the Ski-doo REV (not the XP, but the original REV Platform)...
Some of you that follow my adventures noted that I didn't have a Mileage Log last season like I usually do. I kept the camera's rolling (with over 7 hours of footage) but also kept myself out of the editing chair and on the trails a bit more, so not much has made it online as of yet, but I have...
Do you guys know of an online location for Yamaha Canada OEM parts?
My dealer has it on their site and I didn't even know until today!
forceoneyk.com
I think they've got Polaris too.
Not sure there's already one out there but there you have it.

You may recall back in 2008 I thought I had an engine failure when I found oil everywhere around my motor on a ride, and had low oil pressure. Turned out I installed a new oil filter over top of an old o-ring. Lesson learned.
This time around, it appears I have a real failure. It actually...
Well the stock shocks are dieing a fast death after 9000 km's and 3 seasons on them.
I'd like to upgrade all 4 shocks. Did some searching here, found the following:
Ohlins:
centershock:
Part no: YA 721
Type: S36D
Length: 332mm
Stroke: 92,5mm
Rear:
Part no: YA 722
Type...
Does anyone make a 1.5 inch lugged track for the MTX?
My original 2008 track is toast, and 2.25 is overkill here. 1.5 is what I want. Haven't found anything yet. Help!
November 3rd, 2008 Entry: Yes, we had our first snowmobile ride of the 2008 - 2009 Winter, and I have a few pictures and a few minutes of video to share to kick off the season!
We had our first real snowfall on October 29th...
I thought the dusted we had in the morning was it for the...
