So when I start it cold theres no squealing and if you pick up the back the track will only move about 3-4" and stops but after you ride it for awhile when you stop you can hear squealing sometimes and if you pick up the back the track continually rotates. The belt is about 1/16th" above the top of the secondary . Need adjustment? Thanks

Watched a youtube video since Ive never done this before. REquires removing the secondary,,correct?

Some pics for examination

Why do people think the belt has to be 1/8 in above secondary? It doesn’t matter , belt deflection measured with straight edge clutch to clutch with ruler pushing down on belt ,measuring about 1 1/4 ,1/2 look in manual you don’t want squealing and track moving you’ll have wear.

I didn't say it had to be..just noted mine is about a 1/16" above. I'm asking because I've never had to adjust any sled for deflection and never done it before. The old 8jp belt that was on it didn't squeal but when it exploded and I put on a new 8jp it squealed and creeped off the ground at operating temperature. Never messed with sleds much...just rode them.

The belt should be right at the top/even with sheaves or even slightly below them.. That's my experience with it. I think your a little to tight where you described it was just over the sheaves. (deflection to tight)
If you blew a belt the offset(different then deflection) is probably off.. It was possible wrong to start causing you to overheat the belt and break it.. ALSO when these winders blow belts it causes the stub shaft to move in slightly.. This will cause continual problems with belts(offset).. Plenty of posts on here about this.. Stub shaft moves when blowing belts
