I was able to get the flywheel stator cover out buy removing the to front motor mount bolts and tipping the motor back and forth.
My next question is the 2012 and 13 nytro's use a different stator. I have read that it's a heavier duty stator. Will yhe newer stator work in my 08 nytro? I was...
After 19000 miles my nytro cooked the stator. Is there aa y way to remove the flywheel cover without pulling the engine out of my sled. I have the cover loose but iy won't come out.
Ok, I found it right under the handle bars. There is a metal edge that cut into 2 wires of the harness. I'm going to do some solder and heat shrink tubing in the morning. The trail tank puts a lot of pressure on the harness. Thanks for the quick response.
My 08 rtx is blowing ignition fuses. I suspect I have a spot in my wiring harness worn bare. Is there any common suspect areas to look first. I have read about this issue on this forum. Thought I'd post this while I'm waiting for my buddy to comeand haul the sled and me home.
Yes it was easy enough to get the sprockets on and spaced to fit the track. I am close to where they need to be as far as centering the track in the tunnel. An exact measurement from one end of the shaft to the center of the sprocket will save pulling the shaft back out to move the sprockets to...
As I said these are aftermarket sprockets from Schmidt Brothers. I can contact them Monday and get the info I need, but if someone here can help today my sled will be running by noon today.
I have new drive sprockets for my 08 rtx nytro. Does somebody have dimensions for how far to press them on the shaft. I got them from Schmidt brothers and they forgot to send instructions.
I had Ulmers stage 2 kit on my 08 RTX first and I liked it a lot. The weights in the kit are soft and they wore and peened out with use. The price of replacements was pretty steep I thought. I replaced it with the SB stage 2 kit for not a lot more. Both kits do a good job lowering the engagement...
I have an 08 RTX that I'm thinking of adding this front end to. I put a grizz gusset kit in the front sub-frame so it is rock solid. This weekend I was crossing a metal deck bridge at under 10 mph. I caught a skag and put a 90 degree bend in it. I pulled it off to ride home and noticed I had...
If your belt is oily put a rubber hose on the drain nipple from the air box. A hose out the bottom stops the oil tank slobber from being pulled onto the belt with the air flow under the hood. I have all the plastics in place and the aluminum skid plate on my sled and I really can't run in much...
