I'm not new to four stroke yamahas. I've overheated sleds tons of times and never done damage to anything. This one I've personally put 6800 miles since new and know it well. I've had it get hot on me and shut down on cold icy trails a few times. I was coming off the lake, saw the light on and...
It's
It is getting pressure. It's not mechanical. I've already ruled that out. Sender is working fine and tested. Screen is and was clean. Oil os not restricted at all. I'm beyond the basic troubleshooting stage. I'm not a newbie to diagnostics.
I have a 2009 Nytro XTX. I am getting code 30 low oil pressure. If I unplug the sending unit still comes up code 30 and shits off after 20-30 seconds. Checked the sender for continuity. Yes. Fire it up and it goes away so the switch is working and I'm getting pressure. Check the screen in the...
I have bigger wheels AND they have been on for 4,000 miles. This problem started in the last 1,000 miles and I am expecting it is because of the hyfax wearing down. My slide wear went down to 1/3 of what it was before with the new wheels.
And my bulkhead is bent, The upper control arms are as...
I am doing my end of season inspection...very disappointing. I can't believe how big of pile of poo this thing has turned into at only 5,000 miles. The biggest problem is the center shock is rubbing the track on the bottom. I am about ready for a new pair of hyfax and that should fix the...
Again, XTX users, just install 4 outer Ski Doo/Polaris wheels on the outside of the skid to replace your factory wheels. $100 and it is fixed!! Put new Hyfax on at that same time.
I put new ones on at 1600 miles. I now have 5500+ and they still have hundreds of miles left. I have rode in all...
I spoke too soon, Mine came loose on Sat. The dealer just put a new bulkhead and lower balljoints on it 700 miles ago, I expect they didn't tighten it hard enough. My spindle is junk, but good thing I have an extra. I expect it would be covered under warranty since they just worked on it.
Is it true the new 1100 Cat turbo is about 560 lbs? They really are 70 lbs lighter than the old one?
I was hoping to order a new improved Nytro this spring. But only $2,000 more for an extra 40 horsepower and a machine that looks like it actually handles..... pretty tempting.
Still love...
I have owned two Nytros, both had a broken radiator bracket. It cracks at the lower mounting bolt on both sides. A friend's did the same thing.
I recently had my sled in for some work and they replaced it under warranty. The new one is twice as think.....but they claim there is not a problem...
Looks like their front suspension is a little better than our Yamaha junk. Looks pretty sturdy and simple. I like it. Wish the Nytro had something like that. I rode a 2010 Z1 turbo a couple times this year, wow did it have a smooth ride and crazy power. Heavy as heck however.
Price wise...
I have been fighting the same problem on both my upper control arms all season. We had a lot of wind early season and the plowed fields were bare. I also installed new carbides this year. I am 110% sure that the carbides were catching on stuff and because my lower balljoints and upper a arm...
I haven't had an issue, but I had my balljoints apart at 1000 miles, so I know they were tightened right.
There was a sled at Powersports 1 in Kaukauna a few weeks ago that had that same problem.
I have an extra pair of '09-up spindles if anyone needs one.
I'm also looking for someone to ride with this weekend.
Is anyone interested in going up to Munising for the factory Ride? None of my riding partners can go. I have an enclosed trailer ready to go.
We rode the Wolf River north of Freemont last weekend and it was great. It rose a bunch...
So I should have to replace the idler wheels on a BRAND NEW sled so the slides don't wear down to half in the first 50 miles?
Every mod I did was to fix Yamaha shortfalls. Headlight, skis, idler wheels.....
Don't get me wrong, I love the Nytro XTX. Just wish I could buy a 3 year newer...
I got 4600 miles out of mine without fixing a thing. Few upgrades helped. At 4600 miles my front end was worn out. Motor is great. If you upgrade a few things it is a good sled.
